Christian Home Educators Support System
Who We Are
We are honored to have had the privilege to serve the home education community over the past 15 years. We are passionate about offering our members resources and support to help them provide their children with a Biblical and quality education. We understand that parents have the God-given responsibility to teach their children, and we are here to help equip them with the tools they need. We look forward to supporting Christian home education in the coming years.
We are so appreciative of our members who have shown such dedication and commitment to our organization. It has been a privilege to serve families from the Chicago area and beyond, including Bellwood, Maywood, Crete, Harvey, Indiana, and Louisiana. The invaluable contributions of members from all these areas have positively impacted our organization, and we are grateful for their support.
CHESS is an amazing resource for parents who want to take the lead in their children's education. As members of the Body of Christ, we understand the importance of providing mutual support and encouragement to families who choose to educate their children at home or in a cooperative learning environment. We are here to share information about Christian education and homeschooling and provide insight into this choice's benefits, opportunities, and challenges. We would love to have your family join us on this amazing journey!
What We Do
We are a supportive community of homeschooling parents and families, and we'd love to help you with your homeschooling journey. We offer many resources and advice to help you make the best choices for your homeschool curriculum and learning experience. We also host events where families and children can meet, make new friends and build relationships. In addition, we have regular Mom's Night Out events that you can look forward to, where you can enjoy Christian fellowship and fun with other Moms.
Our meetings occur from September through May on the second Saturday of each month. The topics and activities for each meeting vary, so please refer to our calendar of events or home page for specific information. Unfortunately, we do not provide childcare at our meetings, but children are always welcome to attend with their parents and sit quietly with them. Again, please note that times and venues may change, so please refer to our calendar or email us at [email protected] for the most up-to-date information.
We welcome new member families year-round and are excited to have you join us! The annual membership fee is $45 (non-refundable) from April 1st to March 31st. To participate in our co-op classes or educational programs, you must first become a CHESS Member. There is a $10 per semester fee for co-op classes, and other fees may apply for educational programs.
We look forward to welcoming you as a member soon!
All fees are subject to change.
